Rubrics are an assessment guide that outline expectations.  Two rubrics the grade 3 team uses are below.  The Open-Ended Response Rubric is used across the curriculum to assess responses to literature, experiments, problem solving, and more.  The Writing Rubric is used when assessing District Writing Prompts, classroom writing, and CMT writing.  Your child has a copy of each rubric in their Readers/Writers Notebook.
