I actually took a course in college on how to play tennis!  The summer I learned how to play a can of tennis balls cost about $10.  Needless to say, I went through a lot of cans because I kept losing them when they went off of the tennis court.  How many cans do you think I ended up buying that semester and how much did they cost me?

My husband and I went to see the Whale at the Hartford Civic Center.  It was a Saturday night and so the stadium was pretty busy.  During the third period the emcee announced the total number in attendance at the game.  We were shocked when we heard the amount because it was the highest number in attendance we had ever heard!  The number was in the thousands.  With a few catches ... There was a 4 in the hundreds, and the attendance was less than nine thousand but more than five thousand. How many people attended the game that Saturday night?
